Finally, I found it — and let me say it clearly: **I love this article**. It’s free [to read](https://srinimf.com/2017/05/27/the-automation-types-and-job-survival-in-digital-age/), but the value it delivers is worth far more than most paid courses or coaching sessions. ### Salary Matters, But It Shouldn’t Be Everything Let’s get one thing out of the way — yes, salary matters. We all have bills, responsibilities, and financial goals. But here’s the truth: **if your career decisions are based only on salary, you’re playing a losing game**. It seems like the smart move in the short term, but over time, it leads to stagnation, burnout, and regret. ### Focus on Skills and Long-Term Growth Real success in your career comes from building something deeper — **skills, reputation, and purpose**. When you focus on constantly learning, solving real problems, and making an impact, your value increases naturally. And with that, so does your income — but this time, it’s sustainable. Chasing quick money often leads to jobs you don’t enjoy, where growth is limited and your passion fades. But when you follow a path of **growth and contribution**, success follows you. Employers and clients seek out people who bring value, not just those chasing a paycheck. ### Change Your Mindset, Change Your Career This article reminded me why long-term thinking is so important. Whether you’re in tech, business, healthcare, or any industry — focus on your craft. Learn new tools. Stay curious. Build a network. Contribute meaningfully. That’s how you build a career that lasts.
