Here’s how to clone a notebook and replace a name in the entire Notebook in Databricks.

Cloning a Notebook

  1. Navigate to the Notebook: Open the notebook you want to clone in the Databricks workspace.
  2. Click on the Ellipsis (…):
    • In the workspace folder view, hover over the notebook name, and click the ellipsis () next to it.
    • Alternatively, while inside the notebook, click the notebook name or its menu (top left corner).
  3. Select Clone: Click on Clone from the menu options.
  4. Provide a New Name: A pop-up will appear asking for the name and folder location of the cloned notebook. Provide the details and click OK.

Replace a Name in the Entire Notebook

You can use Databricks’ Find and Replace feature:

  1. Open the Notebook: Open the notebook where you need to replace text.
  2. Access Find and Replace:
    • Press Ctrl + H (Windows) or Command + H (Mac).
  3. Enter the Text to Find and Replace:
    • In the “Find” field, enter the name or text you want replaced.
    • In the “Replace” field, enter the new name or text.
  4. Choose Scope:
    • Use the options to replace the text in the entire notebook or only in the selected cells.
  5. Click Replace All: If you want to replace all occurrences, click Replace All.
