After researching in internet and asking my friends I have found some guidelines, who want to make change into analytics.

  1. It is never too late to join in analytics
  2. SAS certification would be a plus point to start your career
  3. Initially, we should not expect much salary. Later, you will become hero in analytics
  4. There is a difference between Software Engineer and Analytics. Here only coding, no programming
  5. Good institute help you to get requisite knowledge on smooth transitioning into analytics career
  6. This is challenging work, compared to software development job
  7. Many big companies started looking into this line. So big opportunities ahead

  8. Minimum Skills you need in Excel, SQL, PERL, Python, Statistics etc

  9. Good business domain knowledge
