Data Analysis: These Tools Really Helpful

By 2021 people are expecting many data related jobs. But, point is what basic skills everyone should posses.

There are some fundamental skills you need to acquire to be successful in analytics:
Getting 1 to 2 years experience in this line is BIG BOOST to your career.

-SQL: understand relational tables, aggregations, joins (iiner, outer), correlated queries and self joins.

– Excel: always a powerful tool for prototyping, validation and ad hoc: pivot tables, vlookup and VBA helps

– Scripting languages: Ruby is an easy one to pick; you will need it for big data and large file manipulations, string parsing. Very common activities.

– Web tools: need to understand difference between unique visitors and is non-additive nature, visits, close rates etc. Tools suchs as Google Analytics or Omniture site catalyst.

– Visualization tools: data is no good until you can get insights and recommendations, and you need to be able to sell them by presenting well. I recommend Tableau and QlikView.
